Be the adult a student remembers
Our volunteers are neighbors, professionals, college students and retirees who give an hour or more a week to help Rochester students grow.
Find the role that fits you
Every role gets training and support from our staff. Pick one, or tell us what you’d like to do.
Mentor
Meet one-on-one with a student each week to set goals, talk through challenges and celebrate wins.
Tutor
Help small groups or individual students with reading, math and homework.
Event helper
Set up, greet families and run activities at community nights and workshops.
Career speaker
Share your job and path with students during a workshop or career day.
Youth Arms advisor
Support our youth-led coalition as they plan campaigns on drug awareness.
Skills-based volunteer
Lend design, finance, fundraising or tech skills to help us run TRU-Impact.
